NCIS Oracle Database Administrator | Active TS/SCI clearance
About The Position

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. As an Oracle Database Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Operations division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI or Top Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain SCI access after hire.
- 8+ years of experience in database and data management
- Experience with Oracle 18c or higher incl Oracle RAC
- Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query performance tuning
- Strong front end Scripting experience, JavaScript
- Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX and JSON experience
- Experience with Linux based systems hosting Oracle engines
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven engineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems -- to include hands-on solutions development and implementation experience
- Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
- Ability to establish and document new standards for quality, performance or productivity
- CompTIA Security+ CE (Current DoD 8570 - IAT Level II)
- BS degree. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- US Citizenship required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Law Enforcement Data (major plus)
- Oracle PL/SQL, RDBMS modeling, Data Integrity, SQL Developer/TOAD
- OS – Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8
Responsibilities
- Create dynamic web pages using HTML, Oracle mod_plsql, Oracle webforms and oracle apex
- Maintain existing Oracle mod_plsql packages, Oracle and webforms and oracle apex
- Create and maintain Oracle tables
- Design and maintain Oracle packages
- Patch Oracle systems as required
- Upgrade Oracle systems as required
- Monitor Oracle environments
- Create and maintain procedures to Create, Read, and Delete critical data
- Manage data migration to include the migration plan, cleansing, transformation, and testing
- Maintain analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business
- Maintain security and integrity controls
- Perform data analysis/testing of the results of data migration scripts and stored procedures to verify and validate the successful migration of data from a legacy database to a new database (both Oracle 11g)
