MBP is seeking a NCDOT Transportation Inspector (Levels 1 & 2) to support transportation construction projects. Candidates will be aligned to a level based on their experience, with responsibilities progressing from entry-level inspection to lead project inspection and guidance of junior technicians. The role involves serving on-site to monitor roadway and structure construction for conformance with plans, contracts, specifications, and codes, providing guidance and recommendations to the project team. This position requires coordination with agency and contractor personnel, acting as a key point of contact for field observations and documentation. Responsibilities include overseeing project documentation workflows, contributing to monthly reporting and estimates, and utilizing client electronic project management systems to track and log materials and test results. The role also supports the training and development of junior inspectors and assists with scheduling coordination. Inspectors exercise independent judgment within delegated authority while escalating issues appropriately.
