About The Position

Serves as the primary contact and supervisor of the START Program (Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resource, and Treatment) to provide community based intervention and prevention services to individuals with developmental disabilities ad behavioral health care needs. The program relies on integrated care and treatment with collaboration among all team members. The services in the START Program include collaborative contacts, after hour contacts, emergency team meetings, planned respite and emergency respite. RHA is seeking an organized and positive Team Leader for our START program. The program relies on integrated care and treatment with collaboration among all team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services or Special Education required
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities required
  • National START Certification must be completed
  • Excellent communicator and cooperative team player who excels at interviewing the people we serve to learn about their interests and goals, even individuals who cannot communicate verbally.
  • Must possess an expertise in the services being provided.
  • Must have direct support experience supporting individuals with mental health and developmental disability diagnosis.
  • Must have experience with crisis management and crisis counseling.
  • Valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • CPR, first aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations.
  • Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree a plus
  • 1-year experience if paired with Master’s degree
