About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a NC Servicer. The hourly rate for this position is $40.51 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Plan and perform all required operations pertaining to the maintenance and repair of complicated numerical control equipment. Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble. Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation. Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory. Perform electrical test operations on all tape controlled equipment. Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures. Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards. Check boards for proper assembly, wiring, and accuracy of all component parts. Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed. Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties. Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations. Administer 5 S’s. Complete training as assigned. Duties involve application of broad electronic training and apprenticeship training and considerable experience in improvising or making decisions where only general methods are available requiring considerable initiative and ingenuity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • 2-year degree in electronics or electrical technology or experiential equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in NC and CNC repair
  • Industrial mechanical background

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of PLC experience in troubleshooting
  • Journeyman certification or educational equivalent
  • Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required
