About The Position
Provide programming support to the production floor. Ensure that all products being run on a CNC machine have the necessary program and that it is accurate. Perform duties in a safe and reliable manner. The incumbent of this position offers programming support to the production team, ensuring that all products processed by CNC machine are associated with the correct program and that this program is error-free. They also perform other duties safely and reliably.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma
- Must have a college certificate or relevant work experience (minimum 3 years).
Responsibilities
- Create NC codes for all CNC machines
- Create nests to optimize material yield
- Initiate tooling requirements wherever necessary
- Obtain deviations through customer service if our tooling cannot meet customer requirements
- Maintain integrity and control over program database
- Update programs when required
- Communicate with shop floor supervisors to improve programs
- Assist in any shop floor planning activities
- Create drawings for customers wherever necessary
- Keep assigned areas clean
- Assist in activities related to quality and lean, when requested.
