Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • NC WORKS Letter with Lead Teacher Credentials
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Completion of 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire
  • Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children

Responsibilities

  • Oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children and their families, fostering strong bonds and supporting their comprehensive development.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that encompass a broad range of developmental areas including physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor the children's progress towards School Readiness Goals, tailoring the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with disabilities.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure and clean environment by adhering to strict procedures for hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
