NC HVAC Apprentice (54670)
About The Position
S&S Mechanical is looking for a motivated New Construction HVAC Apprentice to join our installation team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the trade, develop technical skills, and grow into a Lead Installer position over time. You’ll work alongside experienced Leads and Foremen, assisting with HVAC installations while building the foundation for a long-term career. What You'll Do • Assist Lead Installer and Foreman with HVAC installation tasks • Handle materials, tool setup, and jobsite cleanup • Maintain organized trucks, tools, and jobsites daily • Follow all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately • Arrive on time with proper PPE and tools ready for use • Learn and apply HVAC installation practices and procedures • Support warranty and punch list work as assigned • Ensure jobsite is left clean and in better condition each day • Assist with truck stock, material requests, and delivery preparation • Properly use and maintain hand tools and power tools Training & Development • Participate in company training programs • Learn Builder trend (scheduling, files, daily logs) • Develop skills in: Sheet metal /Ductwork /Venting /Line sets /Brazing /Startup preparation • Progress through apprentice levels toward Lead Installer What We're Looking For • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance • Willingness to learn and accept feedback • Positive, team-first attitude • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions • Respectful and professional communication • Accountability and initiative • Commitment to safety and company standards What Success Looks Like • Demonstrated progression in HVAC skills • Consistent punctuality and attendance • Positive feedback from Lead Installer and Foreman • Safe work practices and compliance • Strong contribution to team culture Why Join S&S Mechanical • Hands-on training • Clear growth path to Lead Installer • Supportive team environment • Consistent full-time work • Opportunity to build a long-term career in HVAC If you're ready to learn the trade and grow with a strong team, we’d love to hear from you.
