Fugro USA Marine, Inc. is seeking a Navigation Engineer to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of electronic and survey-related equipment. This role involves working under supervision, ensuring adherence to company HSE and QA systems, and fostering a teamwork culture. The engineer will install hardware, firmware, and software onto client vessels, interface with client equipment, and work offshore from floating vessels. Responsibilities include repairing field equipment to a chip level, providing remote technical support, and being on-call when required. The equipment includes navigation systems (GPS, DGPS), heading sensors, heave compensators, acoustic navigation systems, and associated computer systems and software. The role also involves technical liaison with project managers, field crews, clients, and other offices, preparing and testing equipment for mobilization, and maintaining the company asset control system. The engineer will also maintain and develop Quality Assurance procedures, participate in the company's safety program, and ensure the quality of their work and personal safety, as well as the safety of co-workers and equipment.
