About The Position

Join Our Team as a Navigation Coach Are you passionate about helping individuals and families access the tools they need to succeed? Kingswood Community Center is seeking a dedicated and driven Navigation Coach to support families on their journey toward economic mobility. You’ll work one-on-one with participants to identify goals, remove barriers, and build pathways to stability and growth through our EMPOWER program. Our mission is to enable people in Northeast Wilmington and surrounding communities to achieve their potential for economic, social, and personal well-being. From early childhood to senior services, we provide multi-generational programming, community resources, and events. What You’ll Do As a Navigation Coach, you’ll partner with families to assess needs, identify strengths, develop individual plans, and connect them with the right services and resources. You’ll manage a caseload, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to the overall success of the EMPOWER program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Education, or related field (Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience considered).
  • Minimum of two years working with at-risk individuals or families in a social service or educational setting.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately in both written and verbal formats.
  • Build trust and motivate individuals toward self-sufficiency.
  • Navigate systems and advocate for families facing barriers.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage data entry with attention to detail.
  • Exercise discretion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
  • Adapt in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Satisfactory criminal background and reference checks.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Arabic preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR preferred; must obtain within the first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and develop individualized economic mobility plans for participants.
  • Assist with recruitment, intake, and enrollment, including document collection and eligibility screenings.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with families to support progress and re-engage when needed.
  • Coordinate and connect families to a wide range of health, financial, educational, and crisis-related services.
  • Maintain organized files and data systems; ensure compliance with grant and program requirements.
  • Represent KCC and the WRK Group in community forums, events, and partnerships.
  • Support program evaluation efforts by administering surveys and tracking outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
