About The Position

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Naval Logistician to support operations for small boats under 200 feet, primarily Navy small boats. This onsite position is based in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role uses technical knowledge to provide parts research, onboard validation, and acquisition services, and ensures research information is accurately entered into computer-based databases.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 4 years of logistics experience in a Department of Defense environment.
Experience working across large teams to advance a logistics agenda and manage complex data flows.
U.S. citizenship.
Active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing equipment validations on boats, either on trailers or in the water.
Experience using the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) or relevant systems.

Responsibilities

Perform technically accurate parts research using construction drawings, logistics documents, technical manuals, and vendors to provision small boats and miscellaneous equipment.
Conduct parts research and part-number cross-referencing across the federal stock system.
Manage parts acquisition and interact professionally with customer personnel, vendors, and military personnel.
Collect, identify, and annotate research data for entry into specialized databases.
Recommend and implement improvements to logistics and procurement workflows.
