Performs naturalist work in County parks and natural resource areas. The work involves carrying out educational programs for school classes. The work requires experience conducting environmental education programs for school classes. Workers report to a technical supervisor. Essential Job Functions Prepares educational programs for presentation to school classes: researches subjects, ascertains learning objectives and develops activities and materials for the program. Organizes materials, volunteers and materials and conducts programs; cleans up and reorganizes materials upon completion, and evaluates program effectiveness. Knowledge of-- Principles and practices of the biological sciences as applied to the programs of the County parks and natural resources areas. Ability to-- Develop and present educational programs.
