About The Position

The organization is seeking a Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer to join its development and support team. The team supports, enhances, and maintains the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination system. Work includes enhancements that use current technologies to interface with or integrate other systems across platforms, as well as automation of existing processes. The role involves analyzing, designing, and programming large or complex projects on large-scale IBM Mainframe and Linux systems, and running Natural processes both in batch via JCL and/or SCL and online. The developer will provide subject matter expertise on system architectures and recommendations for system and process enhancements. The position also involves developing, maintaining, and updating procedure, policy, and process documentation; working with eligibility systems and state and federal mandates; promoting notices from test environments to production; and collaborating across multiple projects using Agile or SCRUM/iteration approaches.

Requirements

10 years of experience analyzing, designing, and programming large or complex development projects on large-scale IBM Mainframe/Linux systems.
Experience programming in Natural and utilizing ADABAS.
Experience running Natural processes in batch via JCL and/or SCL, and online.
4 years of experience with automated eligibility determination systems.
3 years of experience providing subject matter expertise on system architectures.
3 years of experience recommending enhancements to systems and processes.
3 years of experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
Advanced Natural skills.
Intermediate Web Services (API) skills.
Intermediate Natural One (SAG Designer) skills.
Advanced ADABAS skills.
Intermediate relational database systems (SQL) skills.
Intermediate SDLC skills.
2 years of knowledge or experience with SNAP and TANF eligibility and economic assistance policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented in or similar to MAVS, the Mississippi statewide eligibility system.
2 years of experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems such as MAVS.
2 years of knowledge or experience promoting system notices from testing environments through production.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Strong oral and written communication, time management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively with a team to accomplish projects and solve technical problems.
Ability to conceive or develop creative solutions and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with SCRUM/iteration methodologies.
Experience with Jira Software.
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
Experience converting outdated technologies to newer technologies.

Responsibilities
