Natural Science Lab Work Study
About The Position
The Lab Work Study supports faculty and staff in maintaining and preparing laboratory spaces and materials for science courses. The Lab Assistant must have excellent attention to detail, follow written and verbal instructions, and a willingness to help with whatever laboratory needs arise. Must be meticulous and thorough, while simultaneously willing to get dirty. Student worker positions provide valuable on-campus employment opportunities that support departments while helping students develop professional skills. These roles are intended to enhance the student experience through meaningful work aligned with academic and career interests.

Responsibilities
- Prepare materials for scheduled laboratory sections in a timely manner.
- Clean and properly store equipment, instruments, and glassware.
- Maintain laboratory spaces cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain Preserved and Living Materials.
- Assist faculty with tasks related to research or instruction upon request.
- Ensure laboratory safety through adherence to safety protocols.
- Basic office record keeping, data entry, and correspondence.
