About The Position

As an Environmental Department Manager, you strive to lead both your team and your profits. You are comfortable in steel toed boots in the field, as well as in high level meetings with suits and ties. Environmental geologists, engineers, and project managers look to you for mentoring both technically and in building client relationships. You know how to set the bar high and not only achieve that goal yourself – but bring others along with you. Requirements

  • BS in Geology or a discipline related to Environmental Science.
  • 5-10 years of Geology, Environmental Engineering or related experience.
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • E-6/E7/O-2/O-3 US Military ranks (if education and license requirements are also met).

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Geology or a discipline related to Environmental Science.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the department for continued growth with a strong emphasis on business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental technicians and project managers (must supervise at least 2 full time employees).
  • Oversee environmental services projects and report reviews.
  • Prepare proposals for environmental services.
  • Manage departmental P&L.
  • Assist other senior staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
  • Supervise employees and manage the department on a daily basis.
  • Report preparation and project management duties based on the needs of the department.
