About The Position
This position involves conducting natural resource management operations of the Natural Lands under the guidance of professional staff. The role focuses on practical application of ecological theory and technical skills in land management.
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual

- Ability to problem solve
- Extensive training is required at the start of employment, which must be completed successfully in order to continue in the position.
- Ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Remove invasive species
- Collect seeds
- Work outside for extended periods
- Learn technical natural resource management skills
- Remove brush
- Participate in prescribed fire
- Apply ecological theory to land management
- Identify plants
- Plant and water trees as needed
- Maintain trails
- Conduct research methods for long-term ecological management and study
