  • Strong understanding of North American natural gas markets, including supply and demand fundamentals, storage dynamics, pipeline operations, transportation markets, and regional basis relationships.
  • Experience building and maintaining market balance models, supply and demand models, flow models, forecasting frameworks, and fundamental market analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop market views and translate analytical outputs into actionable commercial insights, trading recommendations, and portfolio strategies.
  • Strong understanding of natural gas transportation economics, storage economics, basis markets, arbitrage opportunities, and physical asset optimization.
  • Experience integrating and analyzing large datasets, including weather data, pipeline flow data, storage data, production data, market pricing data, and forward curve information.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with quantitative analysis libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and related data science toolsets.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets, data pipelines, and database environments.
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis, time-series analysis, scenario modeling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative and market concepts effectively to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced commercial and trading environment while managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative, engineering, economics, or energy-related discipline.
  • Extensive experience applying GPCM modeling within a natural gas trading organization, energy company, consulting firm, or market analytics organization.
  • Experience supporting natural gas trading, marketing, origination, asset optimization, or commercial strategy functions.
  • Knowledge of LNG markets, power markets, renewable generation impacts, and cross-commodity market relationships.
  • Experience evaluating storage assets, transportation portfolios, basis optimization strategies, and structured natural gas transactions.
