About The Position

Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Natural Gas General Foreman to oversee and manage natural gas distribution construction projects in the Orlando, FL area. This role involves supervising crews, ensuring project safety and quality, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in natural gas distribution construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of natural gas pipeline construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant safety regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA) and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and permits.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL Class A or B preferred.
  • Welding certifications (e.g., API 1104) are a plus.
  • vocational training or relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct natural gas construction crews, including pipefitters, operators, and laborers.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage equipment and materials, ensuring proper usage and accountability.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Complete daily reports, progress logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide technical guidance to the crew.
  • Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction.
