The Native American Student Services Coordinator provides support and pastoral care to Idyllwild Arts Academy students with specific attention and sensitivities to Native American/Alaskan Native and First Nations students. This position oversees the cultural well-being of Indigenous students, ensuring their academic success. In addition to supporting Indigenous students, this role involves standing in as a medical proxy for students alongside Heath Center staff, taking students to doctor appointments at regional Indian Health Clinics. This position will also co-manage Meaningful Access Funding, ensuring students are equipped with all supplies needed to succeed in the classroom. This position will also work closely with admissions in identifying and conducting school tours for potential Native American students interested in Idyllwild Arts. This position will also assist the Native American Arts Center in its educational programming throughout the academic year. As a key member of the Student Services team, the Native American Student Coordinator will also support broader student and community programs. The individual in this position will serve as a dorm parent in the residence life program and may live in on-campus housing. This is a two-year, grant-funded position, beginning in the fall of 2026.
