About The Position

Examinetics is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Phlebotomist to join their team. The Phlebotomist will be on the road traveling with the team year round to client sites nationwide. This role will require performing phlebotomy services and health testing for clients in accordance with procedures and policies on the mobile medical clinic. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of practical phlebotomy experience.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician from any of the following: American Certification Agency (ACA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record. (REAL ID required).
  • Post Offer Employment Test (POET) required before first day of work.
  • Compliance with OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of IOS and Android Mobile Platforms and Apple iPad.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy services as well as blood pressure, height/weight measurement, pulse, spirometry, vision, audiometric testing, respirator fit testing and/or other health tests.
  • Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
  • Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures, observing isolation procedures.
  • In addition to testing responsibilities, perform daily cleaning and organization of assigned station prior to and following daily testing.
  • Additionally responsible for other custodial tasks if assigned by the Unit Manager.
  • Prepare assigned station(s) for travel and set-up after travel.
  • Assist other stations whenever possible.
  • Label and process specimens following established protocols to ensure sample integrity.
  • Manage chain of custody and documentation for all collected specimens.
  • May be required to transport specimens to designated drop-off or laboratory locations.
