United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) is a public benefit corporation dedicated to developing novel pharmaceutical therapies and technologies to expand the availability of transplantable organs. Founded in 1996, the company has developed six FDA-approved therapies for conditions like pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD), and neuroblastoma. Recognizing the critical shortage of transplantable organs, United Therapeutics is also focused on creating manufactured organs to address the need for kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers, aiming to eliminate transplant waiting lists and cure end-stage organ diseases. The Lung Bioengineering (LBE) Transplant Account Manager is a field-based role responsible for building and managing relationships with transplant administration, leading contract negotiations, developing business cases, and providing expertise in reimbursement and coverage. This role is crucial for executing strategies that ensure favorable payer access and reimbursement for LBE services and products. The position collaborates with Payer Account Directors to support managed care initiatives, working with transplant administrators, healthcare providers, and cross-functional teams to overcome access barriers and educate stakeholders on reimbursement processes.
