About The Position

Spyder Construction is looking for a National Senior Project Manager to take ownership of our most complex projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role can be based out of our Littleton, CO or Dana Point, CA office, with the expectation of travel to support projects across both markets. If you build your own systems, hold a high bar without needing anyone to hold it for you, and expect the work to speak for itself, this role is built for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 5 to 9 years of experience, ideally in restoration, insurance claim, or emergency response projects (fire, flood, mold, storm).
  • Demonstrated financial acumen in project budgeting, buyout, projections, and margin management.
  • Willingness to travel and work across both Colorado and California operations as needed.

  • A system for tracking documentation, schedules, and financials that doesn't depend on memory.

Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for assigned projects from pre-construction through closeout, delivered on time and on budget.
  • Master schedules and 3-week look aheads, built and maintained in close coordination with Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Financial performance across your projects, including budgeting, subcontractor buyout, projections, and margin protection.
  • Client and stakeholder communication, serving as the primary point of contact and running OAC meetings with clear, consistent updates.
  • Mentorship and direction for Project Managers and field staff, with clearly defined roles and standards.
  • Pre-construction activities including RFIs, submittals, customer selections, subcontractor vetting, and subcontract execution.
  • Project documentation, maintained fully within Spyder's SOPs for files, folders, and forms.
  • Project walks at every key milestone, verifying quality and compliance before moving forward.
  • Procurement coordination for materials, permits, and subcontractor resources.
  • OSHA, environmental, and safety compliance, enforced through regular site inspections.
