About The Position

The National Sales Manager, Foodservice & Grocery, is responsible for accelerating growth across foodservice, our primary focus, and select grocery accounts. This role is focused on developing new business opportunities while growing strategic customer relationships that drive long-term success. This is a hands-on role for a proven closer who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities, and building relationships that turn into business. The successful candidate will be comfortable prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing while working across distributors, operators, manufacturers, and retail partners. Success in this role means identifying new opportunities, expanding distribution, increasing product utilization, and creating profitable solutions for both our customers and Fischer & Wieser Farmstead.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of successful sales experience with a strong foodservice focus.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business opportunities and driving profitable sales growth.
  • Experience working with foodservice distributors, operators, brokers, grocery retailers, or related channels.
  • Proven success driving growth within branded, specialty food, or consumer packaged goods portfolios.
  • Strong experience working with broker and distributor partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities beyond traditional product placement, including menu applications, ingredient inclusion, private label, and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Highly relationship-oriented, commercially sharp, and execution-focused.
  • Comfortable operating independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable growth by securing new business opportunities, expanding product usage, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening customer relationships that drive sustainable sales and margin growth.
  • Drive sales growth across targeted foodservice operators, regional foodservice distributors, and strategic grocery accounts.
  • Develop and expand direct customer relationships that increase sales, improve margins, and strengthen long-term account partnerships.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within foodservice and strategic grocery channels.
  • Maintain and grow strategic grocery business with an emphasis on direct sales, customer engagement, and profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop product placements, menu applications, merchandising programs, promotional initiatives, and ingredient inclusion opportunities that drive mutual growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, brokers, foodservice operators, ingredient manufacturers, retailers, and key customer decision-makers.
  • Manage regional foodservice distributor relationships with a focus on profitable growth, gross margin optimization, and strategic account development.
  • Oversee broker activities to ensure execution against sales objectives, customer priorities, and growth targets.
  • Develop, negotiate, and evaluate promotional programs to maximize return on investment and profitable sales growth.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer opportunities to identify and execute growth strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional customer support and business results.
  • Maintain and expand strategic grocery accounts with an emphasis on direct sales, customer engagement, and profitable growth.
