The National Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the installation and delivery of respiratory therapist equipment, as well as providing necessary supplies and products to patients in their homes. This role involves ongoing assessment of patients and equipment within an assigned service area. The position requires clinical contact with physicians, healthcare practitioners, and patient care coordinators. The therapist will maintain comprehensive records, including patient charts, equipment logs, and preventative maintenance records. Additionally, they are responsible for accurate inventory of company assets and supplies, vehicle maintenance (if applicable), and ensuring all demographic and insurance information is up-to-date. The role also involves overseeing regulatory compliance, effective communication, and collaboration with office staff for billing and documentation. The therapist will promote and market home respiratory services, ensure equipment is safe and accurate before installation, and provide availability for patient needs. This includes completing equipment setups, quarterly checks, and unscheduled service calls. A rotating on-call schedule with fellow RTs may be required. The position involves travel to assigned territories approximately 75% of the year and requires adherence to company travel and expense policies.
