As a Nurse Resident, or New Grad RN, you’ll make the transition from practicing procedures as a student to becoming a professional nurse. You’ll build trust with your clinical preceptor and patients as you practice classroom concepts in real-time. Our residency program establishes your position as a reliable resource and helpful supporter of patients and families. Success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others and to put your classroom experience into practice. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about working at our hospital, making this a perfect starting point to launch your nursing career. You’re in patient rooms, quickly rotating between immediate needs and check-ins to provide patient care while being monitored by your preceptor. Open to learning more about the business and operational practices in our facility. Develop patient advocate skills through observance and practice. Build your nursing skills as you learn to put your education into practice with actual patients. This National Nurse Residency application is designated for our St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center Location. For the National Nurse Residency Program, candidates may choose to apply to either the East Valley locations or St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
