About The Position

The National Director of Field Reimbursement is responsible for the development and performance of all field reimbursement activities with the assigned partner. This position builds and manages a team of Regional Access Directors and provides leadership towards the achievement of our partner's objectives in line with company vision and values. The National Director will identify market opportunities and challenges, then develop, implement, and follow through on action plans that address them through the team, including coaching team members to support corporate growth. The National Director is responsible for evaluation of success, optimizing the opportunity and effectively communicating results to partners and EVERSANA internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 15+ years in pharmaceutical industry with experience in payer policy and product access.
  • 8+ years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior-authorization requirements or equivalent experience in patient access.
  • 5+ years leading successful field access teams.
  • Detailed understanding of both pharmacy and medical benefit product models.
  • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)policies and processes with experience in Medicare Parts B & D coverage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services and patient access programs.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market dynamics, competitor activity, and continuous diabetes monitoring trends.
  • Ability to gather and interpret data to guide regional strategy, including understanding the role of HUB and patient claims data.
  • Computer Skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and videoconferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare degree strongly preferred, including MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD, or similar advanced healthcare/scientific degree.
  • Advanced presentation skills for the delivery of corporate approved materials

  • Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in other functions within the biopharmaceutical industry a plus (e.g. product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management or large healthcare practice experience).

  • Have complete understanding of all relevant compliance laws, policies and processes
  • Ensure actions of self and team are fully compliant
  • Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning process

  • Day to day management of entire field reimbursement leadership and team
  • Determine job objectives, work methods, and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives; engage in performance appraisal discussions with each employee; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.
