The Demand & Allocations Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and determining optimal product distribution to retail locations to maintain inventory levels that drive sales and prevent stockouts. This role combines forward-looking demand planning with executional allocation responsibilities. This is accomplished through analysis of historical sales trends, demand drivers, and market performance of each SKU across stores, as well as evaluation of upcoming promotions, seasonality, and new product introductions. The planner leverages advanced analytics and tools to both forecast demand and allocate product to stores on a daily or weekly basis. The role serves as a key link between supply, inventory, and store performance, ensuring alignment between forecasted demand, distribution center availability, and store-level inventory targets. The planner will regularly communicate insights and performance against KPIs to senior management and provide recommendations to improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory productivity.
