About The Position

The National Cyber Communications Specialist produces operational communications that convey a cyber command center’s findings to audiences who need to act on them. The role creates alerts, advisories, leadership notices, and recurring threat updates for federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT), and private-sector audiences. Products must be technically accurate, tailored to their audience, clearly scoped for release, and delivered within useful timeframes. The specialist works directly from analyst and intelligence output, rather than waiting for a finished narrative. The position supports communications during normal and crisis operations, including rapid-turn products and coordinated messaging during high-tempo events. It works with watch-floor, intelligence, hunt, and incident staff to source and validate content, and coordinates products with mission partners. The role is hybrid and based in Arlington, Virginia, with 40 scheduled weekly hours and less than 10% travel required.
