About The Position

The National Client Manager will manage environmental due diligence projects for large national clients, serve as a technical lead, and will ensure that all projects meet the client’s goals and scope expectations. This role involves managing large national accounts, building direct client relationships, and serving as the primary environmental lead for these key accounts. The position also includes maintaining a technical review load, delegating tasks to support staff, ensuring projects are properly staffed, meet high standards of quality, and are delivered on time. A key aspect is building an intimate understanding of client goals to facilitate consulting delivery and supporting the organization's growth.

Requirements

  • At least 5 to 10+ years performing and reviewing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops)
  • Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites
  • Advanced writing, report review, time management, and organizational skills are required
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and be able to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science

Nice To Haves

  • State regulatory knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of various lending practices; standard debt, agency (Fannie/Freddie) preferred
  • Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work preferred
  • Experience with managing various vendors and subcontractors preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Quire preferred
  • Bidding and project cost estimation a plus
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, NRPP Certified Radon certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Managing large national accounts
  • Building direct client relationships in support of sales efforts through servicing the account and in-person meetings
  • Serving as the primary environmental lead for national accounts
  • Maintaining a technical review load and delegating reviews to support staff as needed
  • Ensuring all projects are staffed, performed to high standards of quality, and delivered on time
  • Managing due diligence projects being completed by associate consultants/contractors
  • Ensuring all projects meet the client's goals and scope expectations
  • Building an intimate, in-depth understanding of the client's goals and facilitating the delivery of consulting to meet those needs
