About The Position

Supports National Casino Marketing team in NCM and Air programs for Harrah’s/Horseshoe Council Bluffs. Responsibilities include processing reservation requests, managing relationships with NCM players, and developing new business relationships. This role involves building groups, arranging transportation, coordinating events, and ensuring a high level of service for guests. The host will also be involved in sales initiatives, publishing marketing updates, and attending events to promote the properties. Daily contact with NCM guests is expected to ensure their service experience meets or exceeds expectations. The role also requires reviewing commission reports for accuracy and adhering to all company policies and regulatory standards, presenting oneself professionally and encouraging others to do the same. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year casino and/or hotel experience in a guest services area or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in company systems such as SMART, CMS, LMS, Scheduler, Skyforce and other systems when necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers, must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be proficient with customer contact systems.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.
  • Ability to stand and walk, and mobility to move easily around entire property for entire shift.
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Processes splinter Reservation Requests in SMART within one business day, CSB Groups, and Coding Requests submitted in SMART.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with a portfolio of inactive NCM Players.
  • Targets and grows the pool of NCM business with new Reps.
  • Owns all aspects of strategic relationships with assigned NCM players, ensuring personalized service and account growth.
  • Targets, develops, and assesses new business relationships within the NCM Corporate Network and Air Programs to effectively meet required sales benchmarks.
  • For NCM Groups, builds groups in LMS, arranges transportation (incoming/outgoing, including UBER), coordinates property event bookings, submits Coding Requests, assesses comp requests, and submits group lists to analytics for performance review.
  • Hosts Stir Concerts for NCM Groups.
  • Arranges packets for arrival of NCM guests; meets and welcomes incoming groups and individuals.
  • Resolves Coding Conflicts with cases when appropriate.
  • Ensures properties are informed of visiting groups to allow for effective preparation and management of operational impacts.
  • Responsible for all NCM sales initiatives and greets VIP guests via RTCM.
  • Assists CM/NCM Manager/Host groups, Splinters and NCM sales initiatives.
  • Publishes Monthly Marketing Updates into SMART/Total Rep Reviews SMART for other NCM Property Events for ideas.
  • On occasion, attends corporate NCM Rep events to promote Council Bluffs properties for new Reps.
  • Contacts top 10 Iowa reps monthly for potential upcoming groups / splinters.
  • Is in contact with all main NCM guests on property each day (via text, phone or in person) to assure their service experience is meeting/exceeding expectations.
  • Reviews monthly Commission Report to assure that all NCM players are accounted for on the report and data is accurate.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Upholds and demonstrates the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognizes standards required by a regulated business.
  • Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
