This role supports the execution of project plan activities and ensures effective coordination across internal and external teams for assigned programs. It establishes and manages project timelines, oversees the development and dissemination of patient tools and resources, and maintains project tracking and reporting. The role works closely with cross functional teams to drive progress and achieve program goals and benchmarks. This position can be home based. This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on January 30, 2029, with the potential of extension. Requirements

  • Experience developing and managing projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic communication or marketing planning and budget development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project processes and workflows effectively.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Background in communications, marketing, public health, and/or project management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and management of program plans and resource development to ensure efficient execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop, refine, and distribute project materials, collateral, and related assets.
  • Monitors program performance metrics, identifies opportunities for improvements, and recommends necessary changes or resources adjustments
  • Monitors, analyzes, and tracks project budgets and timelines to ensure adherence to scope and schedule.
  • Prepares and maintains program documentation, reports, and materials to support compliance, stakeholder communication, and continuous development.
  • Ensures consistent and effective communication with project leadership and team members, providing timely updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships, earn trust, and collaborate effectively across internal teams and external volunteers.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.

  • Compensation – The expected pay range is $53,900 to $75,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Our goal is to ensure you have a competitive base salary. That’s why we regularly review the market value of jobs and make adjustments, as needed.
