About The Position

The National Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability within national and regional accounts, with a primary focus on Home Depot. This role leads the development and execution of strategic sales plans, leveraging deep knowledge of account processes, systems, and merchandising to optimize performance and support best‑in‑class programs. The position builds strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and Home Depot stakeholders, provides ongoing sales reporting and insights, and proactively identifies opportunities and risks to support Glen Dimplex Americas’ strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of demonstrated account management or sales experience, including at least 3 years of direct national‑level selling experience with Home Depot US.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales and margin objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience working with seasonal product lines within Home Depot.
  • Strong understanding of retail consumer goods and the dynamics of Big Box/DIY retailers.
  • Skilled in line reviews, business reviews, and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and POS analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of Home Depot’s Supplier Portal.
  • Ability to negotiate rebates, SBAs, price increases, and fines with Home Depot.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team while also operating as a self‑starter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy for Home Depot that supports a best‑in‑class program for both Home Depot and Glen Dimplex Americas.
  • Partner closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement, and overall business optimization.
  • Develop a national sales plan in collaboration with the Director of Sales, merchants, and marketing, ensuring timely and cost‑efficient implementation.
  • Achieve or exceed sales and gross margin targets.
  • Deliver ongoing analysis of Home Depot POS data, providing senior management with key metrics, insights, and performance updates across the business, new product categories, and special programs.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with stakeholders at both Home Depot and Glen Dimplex Americas.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to requests from merchants and internal/external partners.
  • Apply analytical and strategic thinking to support sales forecasting, budgeting, and POS performance.
  • Present insights, plans, and recommendations to senior leadership at both organizations as required.
  • Negotiate rebates, SBA agreements, price increases, and fines with Home Depot.
  • Collaboratively develop monthly sales forecasts for ongoing review with management.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of forward stock coverage and work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
