The Narcotics Unit Commander will be responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the Sheriff’s Office including commanding the Task Force and reports directly to the Tarrant County Sheriff and the Task Force Board of Governors on all significant matters. The Commander is responsible for anticipating problems and sponsoring project directional change as needed. This position is responsible for establishing goals and ensuring they are met. The Commander oversees all Task Force operations including the control and disposition of seized property, accounting, analysis and reporting. The Commander communicates frequently with the area’s law enforcement executives and statewide narcotic agencies to maintain liaisons and share narcotic enforcement trends and issues.
