Part Time Nanny - Chelsea, NY
About The Position
Part time Nanny (live out) required for a Chelsea family with 2 children starting ASAP. The family is looking for a highly trustworthy, safety-conscious, and dependable caregiver to support their two boys, aged 8 and 4. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, caring, positive, comfortable maintaining clear boundaries, and proactive in managing the children's active schedules. The parents are looking to partner with another nanny who is looking for a long term commitment. The primary focus is to pick up the boys from school and provide engaging after school care - including after school activities, dinner, and evening routine. A physically active candidate who values outdoor time and has energy to sustain busy afternoons with two boys with busy schedules is key to this role! The candidate must have a safety first mindset, be highly organized, naturally proactive and a strong communicator. You will need to be someone who can show initiative and good instincts with daily tasks including managing schedules, transitions and cooking meals. Basic daily meal prep and cooking for the boys is required for this role. The parents value honesty, discretion and punctuality and surrounding their boys with strong role models. Candidates who enjoy educational play, love to explore/plan outings across the city and can adapt to the ever evolving schedules of boys will be a great match for this family!
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US
- A well-suited demeanor and experience working with school age children
- Ability and interest to commit long term with the family
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Physically able (and interest) in managing 2 children on daily commutes and outdoor play
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Ability to complete all child related duties (including daily meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying/organizing bedroom and play/toy areas, etc)
- Readiness to help with child related tasks - including meal prep, kids laundry, general tidying of all areas, etc

Responsibilities
