About The Position

A first-time parent family is seeking a full-time nanny for their baby girl, who will be approximately 6 months old at the start of care. The family values consistency, communication, and a nurturing environment. Mom works from home and seeks a collaborative nanny to support baby care and allow for shared moments. The baby enjoys floor time, music, reading, and interactive engagement. The family has one friendly dog, but no pet care is required. The role is baby-focused with minimal household duties and offers an excellent pay package in a collaborative, respectful work environment. The position is located in Kirkland, WA, and the start date is June 1st, 2026, lasting until November 15th, 2026. Benefits are open for discussion for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience caring for infants
  • Strong engagement skills (talking, reading, singing, play-based interaction)
  • Physically able to lift and carry a growing infant
  • Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID, flu, Tdap, MMR, and other standard vaccines)
  • Non-smoker (no vaping, marijuana, or other substances)
  • Glowing references from recent nanny positions
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
  • Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
  • Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
  • May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting developmental milestones (e.g., tummy time, motor skills)
  • Calm, patient demeanor with ability to support an anxious first-time parents
  • Flexible and collaborative mindset in a shared-care environment
  • Understanding of infant sleep transitions and routines

Responsibilities

  • Feeding the baby (with pre-prepared food)
  • Following nap and wake schedules
  • Engaging in developmentally appropriate play
  • Supporting routines
  • Washing bottles
  • Completing baby laundry 1-2 times per week
  • Supporting naps (transitioning from contact naps to crib naps)
  • Participating in floor play and tummy time
  • Accompanying mom and baby on walks
  • Potential for independent outings over time
  • Clean up of activities
