Canton, Mi Family Seeking Full-Time Nanny!

The Nanny LeagueDetroit, MI
Onsite

About The Position

A first-time family in Canton, MI, is seeking a full-time, long-term live-out nanny to care for their sweet one-year-old son. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, nurturing, and highly engaged childcare professional who genuinely enjoys the toddler years and is eager to grow with a family over the long term. The ideal candidate will be warm, patient, dependable, and highly attentive, with a strong understanding of child development and an interest in supporting a young child’s cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional growth. The family values a caregiver who is intentional about development while also allowing childhood to be fun, playful, and driven by curiosity. A genuine interest in ongoing learning about child development and the ability to translate that knowledge naturally into everyday interactions are especially important. As their son becomes increasingly active and independent, the family is looking for someone who enjoys being actively engaged with him throughout the day through reading, play, outdoor time, music, and age-appropriate sensory and learning experiences. The right nanny will balance structure and consistency with flexibility, follow his interests and developmental cues, and help foster curiosity, confidence, independence, and a love of learning. The schedule will average approximately 40 hours per week, generally 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with a partial day on Friday, with occasional flexibility for evenings or schedule changes appreciated. Responsibilities will focus on all aspects of their son’s care, including preparing and serving age-appropriate meals and snacks, diapering, maintaining routines, facilitating naps, and supporting developmental milestones. Child-related household responsibilities include his laundry, tidying play and eating areas, cleaning up after meals and activities, and keeping his belongings organized. The family’s home is located in a peaceful, walkable Canton neighborhood. They are seeking someone who is safety-conscious, communicative, collaborative with parents, and comfortable caring for an increasingly mobile and adventurous toddler. Candidates should be up to date on Tdap and seasonal flu vaccinations and open to occasional travel with the family if needed.
