About The Position

A family in Boca Raton, Florida, is seeking a mature, warm, and loving live-in or live-out nanny to primarily care for their 9-month-old infant son. The role also involves caring for their two older sons, ages 8 and 6. The position requires travel, including a 6-8 week stay at a lake house in Connecticut during the summer and other shorter trips throughout the year. The nanny will be responsible for infant care tasks such as managing naps, feeding, and maintaining the cleanliness of the baby's care areas. Driving is also a requirement for errands and other family needs. The family follows a pescatarian diet and is Jewish, so comfort with these practices and willingness to learn appropriate food handling is necessary. Experience with boys is considered a bonus. The family employs a daily housekeeper. The ideal candidate should be warm and loving while maintaining firm boundaries aligned with the family's expectations. Live-in accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom with a private entrance. Live-in candidates should not have pets or additional family members they wish to bring into the home. The family requires standard Tdap, MMR, and Flu vaccinations. The start date is ASAP.

Requirements

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD

Responsibilities

  • Primarily care for their infant son, who is 9 months old.
  • Care for their two older boys, ages 8 and 6.
  • Putting the baby down for and waking him from naps.
  • Feeding him and preparing infant-appropriate foods.
  • Keeping spaces related to his care clean and organized.
  • Driving for general errands and as needed for the family.
  • Travel with the family for 6 to 8 weeks during summer break to their lake house in Connecticut, along with shorter trips throughout the year.
  • Be comfortable with Jewish practices and a pescatarian diet, and willing to learn appropriate food handling.
