About The Position

A family in Pacific Heights, San Francisco is seeking 2 ROTA nannies/governesses/educators for their 2-year-old daughter. The ROTA schedule will be 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. Cohesive and continued communication between the two nannies is crucial, with strong and thorough handover protocols. This is a fully-staffed home with a chef and housekeepers. The role is hybrid, requiring the professional to lead the child's early education and development, cultivate language, manners, and etiquette by example, and model the parents' desired standards of communication and conduct. The family seeks individuals with impeccable character, patience, refinement, and intellectual substance, reflecting a European and American upbringing that values rigorous education, fine manners, and character. The role begins as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Preference will be given to candidates already in California or able to fly to/from SF within one hour.

Requirements

Native English-language speaker.
Bilingual (French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus).
Minimum of 15 years of combined experience as a nanny/governess/educator.
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience (public or private sector).
College or university degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or a related childcare field (degree preferred over certificate).
Comfortable around cats and not allergic.
Swimmer.
Licensed driver with a clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid Certified.
Strong communicator.
Very clean in terms of overall cleanliness, organization, and hygiene.
Energetic.
Experience/expertise as a professional childcare expert.
Seeking longevity in the role and willing to grow with the child's age.
No baby-talking; must teach proper conversation.

Responsibilities

Create and implement daily educationally-enriching activities and lesson plans/curriculum tailored for a 2-year-old who enjoys books, words, and numbers, and can perform basic math.
Ensure the child's laundry is managed.
Prepare, warm up, plate, and serve the child's food, including chopping food and fruits, and preparing snacks or side dishes if needed.
Drive the child if necessary, requiring excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
Nurture the child's mind and learning stages thoughtfully with structure, warmth, and a genuine love of learning.
Teach proper conversation and etiquette.
