The Natural Resources Department seeks a motivated intern to support a variety of environmental, data, and outreach-focused projects related to responsible resource development, mine closure, and natural resource education. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience while supporting departmental priorities across data management, geoscience, mine closure planning, and community-facing education. Project assignments will be tailored based on the intern’s background, interests, and skill set, with opportunities for both technical and non-technical work. The intern will be primarily based in the Anchorage office and may have opportunities for supervised field visits, community outreach, or regional travel depending on project needs and intern interest.
