About The Position

Assists Environmental Department Leads, Project Managers, and/or various division managers with all aspects of environmental project work from field work to data collecting and reporting by performing any of the following duties . Internships will run from June – August

Requirements

Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder. In accordance with NANA's Shareholder Preference Hiring Policy, priority will be given to NANA shareholders first, followed by shareholder descendants.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time and have completed one semester of postsecondary education.
College sophomore level or higher with degree declared in Environmental Sciences or directly related field.
Intermediate skillset with MS Word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
Some exposure to computer aided drafting and engineering software preferred.

Nice To Haves

Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in a variety of environmental projects under supervision as assigned.
Assist with preparation of investigation and work plans and remedial action plans.
Perform soil and water sampling according to standard procedures.
Record field observations in a concise, accurate, and legible manner.
Compile and analyze data and assist with drafting reports and work plans.
Share lessons learned and strive for continual program and personal improvement.
Provide team communication.
Conduct quality checks of databases, documents and reports, to verify accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
Assist in preparing, maintaining and filing of departmental policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
