About The Position

Provide treatments to guests that visit The Boar’s Head Spa according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations, while excelling in customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Educated and certified in the profession of manicures/pedicures.
  • Appropriate and current license required Nail Technicians – State of Virginia/Board of Cosmetology.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work 5-7 days per week in rotational shifts, if needed, and including holidays and weekends.
  • Proven ability to Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Prioritize and organize.
  • Resolve problems calmly, using good judgment.
  • Work independently.
  • Understand guest’s service needs and solve them proactively.
  • Work effectively with managers and co-workers.
  • Protect guests’ property and confidentiality.
  • Work under stress in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain certifications in order to stay current in the field nails care techniques.
  • Provide a nurturing environment in concert with the highest professional standards regarding client confidentiality and disclosure of inappropriate personal or business information.
  • Keep treatment rooms clean by sweeping the floor, changing linens and wiping down cabinetry and sink.
  • Keep staff room clean by stocking linens, cleaning-out the refrigerator and microwave, changing the tablecloth, organizing in-take forms and sweeping the floor.
  • Assist in laundry removal and storage.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and internal training seminars as required.
  • Perform designated services for guests according to Boar's Head standards including handling aromatherapy oils, providing a variety of proper hand and foot grooming.
  • Contribute to overall resort team goals by completing additional duties as assigned.
  • Learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; use appropriate safety equipment at all times; immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
