About The Position

Nail Technicians play a crucial role in enhancing the overall spa experience by providing exceptional hand and foot treatments intended to increase, improve, or maintain the health and appearance of the nails. In addition to possessing knowledge and expertise in nail care services, Nail Technicians must be personable with nurturing qualities, have the ability to be attentive to the guests needs, and have a passion for wellness in a luxury spa setting.

Requirements

Maintains a current Nail Tech or Cosmetology license in the state they are practicing in.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to assess the needs and wants of their guests.
Has exceptional time management skills.
Works efficiently to solve problems in the moment.
Available to work weekend, evening, and holiday hours.
Neat and professional appearance follows Woodhouse Spa dress code.
Physically able to perform up to 7-8 services a day.

Responsibilities

Obtaining the education and licensure required to perform nail services within the state they are working.
Performing hand and foot treatments according to the treatment protocols provided.
Recommending enhancements and products.
Working closely with other team members to ensure that each guest’s experience exceeds Woodhouse Spa standards.
Welcoming each guest and properly introducing themself.
Preparing the guest for services according to the treatment protocols.
Reviewing the guest’s intake form for any valuable information.
Performing up to a combination of 7-8 different hand and foot treatments per day.
Educating the guest about the benefits of the service(s) performed.
Offering enhancements that pair with the guest’s chosen treatment(s) and educating them on the benefits of the enhancer(s).
Educating the guest on the products used during the service.
Recommending retail home care products and explaining how to use them properly.
Communicating current spa promotions to guests.
Allowing the guest to relax by only speaking when spoken to.
Documenting pertinent guest information in their records.
Maintaining organization of the treatment and preparation areas.
Following all Woodhouse Spa policies.
Willing and able to perform all Woodhouse service offerings and Signature protocols.
Ensuring proper lighting, music, cleanliness, and aromatherapy are present.
Supporting the needs of the team and the location.
Maintaining the proper care of the spa tools and equipment.
Ensuring safety, sterilization, and sanitation procedures are followed.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Communicating with staff and management to ensure the location runs smoothly and according to the schedule.
Always maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Renewing licensure as required by the state, prior to the license expiration date.
Obtaining continuous education per state licensing requirements and/or Woodhouse Spa requirements.
Protecting the Woodhouse Spa brand.
