About The Position

The Globus family of brands, with over 95 years in travel, creates culture-rich vacations in more than 70 countries. The Product & Operations department is responsible for the creation, operation, inventory management, and delivery of tours for Globus, Cosmos, and Avalon Waterways, as well as supporting tour products sold worldwide. This role ensures experienced and trained Tour Directors are assigned to each tour departure, managing recruitment, scheduling, and administrative tasks related to Tour Directors.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Noteworthy experience in working in a similar position within the travel field.
  • Experience working with systems to enter, audit, and report on data.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Must reside in Denver or surrounding area.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment of Tour Directors, including conducting interviews for TD and/or local representative candidates, partnering with Human Resources.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain a current database of potential candidates.
  • Work with HR to ensure all new hires receive onboarding to the company.
  • Attend conferences to recruit and interview TDs, such as ITMI, IATDG & Trip School.
  • Prepare contracts and additional paperwork for all Tour Directors annually.
  • Manage new hires in required systems (e.g., Enterprise, TD portal), advising departments on hire dates and critical information.
  • Prepare and distribute TD supplies at the outset of each touring season and as required throughout the season.
  • Maintain records of availability for all eligible TDs over the operating season.
  • Manage the allocation chart with all tour departures, TD assignments, and pre/post night requirements, ensuring accurate updates for cancellations.
  • Schedule TDs for all North America tours using established criteria.
  • Schedule training tours for TDs as needed throughout the touring season.
  • Maintain the TDs years of service spreadsheet for travel benefits.
  • Assist with TD payroll and final tour accounting information as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Contribute to team efforts by assisting with related projects as assigned by leadership to support Tour Operations.
