About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled N8N Developer specializing in Finance and Legal automation to lead the technical execution of our enterprise integration roadmap. While the BSA defines the "what," you will be responsible for the "how"—architecting, building, and maintaining robust, scalable workflows that connect our core financial systems, legal platforms, and AI models. This role requires a developer mindset applied to a low-code/node-based environment, ensuring that automations are not just functional, but resilient, secure, and well-documented.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience specifically with N8N (Self-hosted or Cloud). Deep understanding of expressions, binary data handling, and batch processing.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript to manipulate JSON objects, transform data arrays, and write custom logic within N8N Code nodes.
• Expert-level knowledge of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and various authentication methods (OAuth2, API Keys, Basic Auth).
• Experience with data transformation tools and a solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL environments.
• Hands-on experience using LangChain or N8N’s AI nodes to build RAG-based workflows or agentic automations.
• Prior experience integrating platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Ironclad, LinkSquares, or HighQ.
• Familiarity with the logic of financial reconciliation, multi-currency handling, and the structured nature of legal contracts.
• High proficiency in JavaScript (for Code nodes) and deep experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and OAuth2.
• Strong ability to write SQL queries and manage data mapping between disparate enterprise systems.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into automated workflows for document processing or data extraction.
• Ability to translate complex business logic (e.g., Procure-to-Pay or Contract Life cycles) into clean, automated architecture.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Docker and self-hosting N8N instances.
• Familiarity with Python for advanced data science or automation scripts.
• Background in FinTech or a legal-ops environment.
• Knowledge of RegTech (Regulatory Technology) solutions.
• Experience with Docker for N8N self-hosting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex end-to-end workflows in N8N to automate manual processes across Finance (ERP/Billing) and Legal (CLM/Compliance) departments.
• Build custom API integrations using HTTP Request nodes; develop custom N8N nodes or use the Code Node (JavaScript) to handle complex logic that standard nodes cannot accommodate.
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into N8N workflows for intelligent document processing, automated legal redlining, and financial anomaly detection.
• Implement sophisticated error-handling strategies (Wait nodes, Error Trigger workflows, Slack/PagerDuty alerts) to ensure 99.9% reliability of business-critical automations.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to interact with internal databases and ensuring data integrity during synchronization between systems.
• Manage workflow versions using Git and handle deployment across Dev, Staging, and Production environments.
• Ensure all workflows adhere to strict financial security standards (SOC2/SOX) and legal data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA).
