About The Position

Togetherhood is expanding to Boston and is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join their network. Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting educators with schools and communities for enrichment programs. They offer opportunities to share skills in various subjects, including Musical Theater, with children aged K-12. The mission is to bring high-quality enrichment and education to every community. Instructors are encouraged to use their own lesson plans and curriculum, and are supported in sharing their passion with eager learners.

Requirements

Experience teaching school-age children
Experience teaching kids of all skill levels and learning styles
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
Cooperative, supportive, and flexible
Comfortable building a curriculum culminating in a performance (varies from school to school)
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Appreciates support and clear expectations
Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience
If lacking formal teaching experience, share any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or on the application questionnaire

Responsibilities

Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for Musical Theater
Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why Musical Theater is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
