About The Position

Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting passionate educators with schools and communities seeking enrichment programs. They offer opportunities for talented instructors to share their skills in various subjects, including music. The mission is to 'infuse every community with high quality enrichment and education.' This role involves teaching Musical Instruments (Piano and Guitar) to K-12 students in after-school programs across Philadelphia. Teaching terms can range from 6 to 18 weeks.

Requirements

Experience teaching school-age children
Subject matter expertise in Music or Musical Instruments, ideally Piano and/or Guitar
Passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class
Cooperative, supportive, and flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Resume showcasing relevant teaching experience (or other relevant experience/training if formal teaching experience is lacking)
