About The Position

Riverton Hospital is seeking compassionate, talented volunteer musicians to share the gift of music with our patients, families, and staff. Whether it's soft piano melodies or gentle string or wind instrumental music in the lobby, your music can bring comfort, peace, and healing to those who need it most.

Requirements

• A consecutive 6-month commitment, which entails volunteering one day per week for 1 or 2 hours.
• Passing a Background Check, Submit to a TB Test, and having an annual flu vaccine in the Fall.
• Must be 14 years old or older.
• Must be fully vaccinated.
• Completion of hospital volunteer orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in playing the piano or another acoustic instrument.
• Friendly, compassionate, and respectful in a healthcare setting.
• Able to commit to a regular volunteer schedule.
• Comfortable performing solo and adapting music to suit a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform calming, appropriate music in the lobby of the hospital.
• Create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere through live instrumental music.
• Interact respectfully and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Follow hospital safety and infection control guidelines.
