About The Position

Community Health and Wellness, LLC offers top-notch services for individuals with disabilities throughout Texas. We have current openings in Austin, Texas. We are seeking an Independent Contract Music Therapist to provide one-on-one Music Therapy services to children and youth with congenital disorders, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities. This role involves creating tailored goals, documenting sessions, communicating with team members and service providers, and submitting timely documentation including weekly invoicing, progress notes, and related paperwork.

Requirements

• MT-BC
• Liability Insurance (upon hire)
• Valid Driver's License
• Social Security Card
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required
• Must have access to a private personal laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance

Nice To Haves

• Track SMART goals and progress through weekly documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Reader

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one Music Therapy services to children and youth with congenital disorders/intellectual disabilities/physical disabilities
• Create tailored goals to meet the needs of individual clients
• Document on each session
• Communicate with other team members and service providers
• Turn in timely documentation including weekly invoicing, progress notes, and related paperwork
• Travel to current or prospective clients’ homes
• Communicate with health care professionals, clients, families, and the general public through verbal and written communication
• Implement patient care plans through home and community goal-related activities
• Work independently, manage one’s own time and the time of client(s)
