About The Position

Legacy Lifecare VNA and Hospice is a leader in providing compassionate and comprehensive care, valuing both resident care and employee appreciation. This role involves delivering individual music therapy sessions tailored to patient preferences and goals, using music to address relaxation, pain management, emotional processing, developmental support, and end-of-life/bereavement needs. The Music Therapist will collaborate with patients, family members, and other team members to align with the patient's overall care plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy or related field
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) from an AMTA-approved program
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to patient homes or hospice facilities.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with end-of life patients, or in a long-term care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual music therapy sessions tailored to patient preferences and goals
• Use music to address relaxation, pain management, emotional processing, developmental support, and end-of-life/bereavement needs
