Oaknoll is seeking a part-time Music Therapist to join our team on a temporary basis. The position is for 8 hours a week for approximately 12 weeks.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
- Candidates must be a Certified Music Therapist approved by the American Music Therapy Association.
- Candidates must demonstrate fundamental computer literacy.
- Candidates should have experience with aging populations, and training in the care of persons with dementia or other age-related diseases.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing both group and one-on-one music therapy sessions according to residents' interests, cognitive and physical abilities
- Teaching guitar, piano, or other instruments through personalized music therapy sessions
