About The Position

The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role helps increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student's musical growth and enjoyment. The teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead and with students and families, maintaining frequent communication and fostering trusting relationships. The role also supports customer service as needed and contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents' knowledge of their child's music education.
Share each student's progress and goals frequently with the student and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
